Dear Golden Eagle staff,
My name is Ben and I bought
one of your power
units a couple of years
ago. Since then I
have had a heart attack
and I'm also a polio
survivor. With weakness
in the quads of the
right and hamstrings on
the left (legs),
I thought for a long time
I would never be
able to ride my "Putt"
again. Last
week I mentioned it to
my Post Polio and
cardiologist physicians
that I had a power-assisted
Trek OCLV (carbon fiber)
bike and would like
to ride it again. I got
a resounding "go
for it" from both
and with some nice
weather; I've ridden it
every day since.

This has to be one of the
greatest joys of
my retirement and had it
not been for your
very well-designed bike
powerplant, I would
be spending most of my
afternoons just watching
TV. Thanks for giving me
another shot at
the "good life."
(The image is
my bride of 30 years--she
loves it too, but
spends most of her fun
time chasing grand
children; I just ride off
into the sunset
and everyone wonders "do
you think grandfather
will ever come back?)...Thanks
everyone!
Sincerely,
Dr. Ben M. (retired aerospace)
